The WFO 9 makes its way back into Niner's lineup with a whopping 170mm of rear travel and 180mm up front, making this the longest-travel steed to come out of the Colorado-based firm. Driven by the innovative CVA link design, the WFO pedals impressively well for a bike of this caliber, and when we point it downhill, there's absolutely nothing we can't monster-truck over. Built with a durable carbon frame, a FOX factory fork and shock, and Shimano's revered XT 12-speed group, we love everything about this bike and the confidence it brings to steep, rowdy trails.
Geometry on the Niner WFO 9 is built like we would expect an enduro slaying machine to be. The frame incorporates standard boost spacing, meaning it's easy to find replacement parts for our wheels, cranks, and hubs. Big 29in wheels are paired with a slacked-out 64-degree head-tube angle in the low setting, ideal for getting over big trail obstacles in our way. For its class, the steep 77-degree seat-tube angle means we're not afraid of pointing the WFO 9 up some big fire road climbs. A 1205mm wheelbase brings a lot of stability to the game, meaning we can confidently sign-up for our first enduro knowing the bike won't be holding us back.
This 4-star build is absolutely race-ready and provides an excellent base to start our emerging enduro careers on, or just give us a confident platform for all sorts of riding. Niner finishes off the build with a variety of in-house parts designed to hold up to the toughest trails and gnarliest riding we can find. Aggressive geometry speaks to the bike's ability on the descents while CVA suspension lets us take on the fire roads without concern.
